This piece is very loosely based on the fairy tale of the Frog Prince. In that story, when the princess kisses the enchanted frog, he turns back into the handsome prince.
My painting shows a frog sitting on the outstretched hand of a stone maiden. Maybe if he can find the solution to her enchantment, she will become his lady love.
