Magic in the Sky

A courageous young boy by the name of Bran, his magical flying tiger, Katthan,  a family kidnapping, witches, royal fairies, and an incredible adventure to the land behind the moon. These are all wonderful ingredients for a thrilling children’s book. And they are also wonderful reasons for an artist to pick up her paintbrushes when asked to design the cover art.

When I received the author’s initial email, I was thrilled. Her brief explanation of her story reminded me a little of one of my favorite teen movies, “The Neverending Story”. The fantastic travels of Bran and his tiger had the same flavor as Bastian and Falkor. A cool fantasy adventure with fabulous characters imagined for all of us who prefer other realms.

Written by Sarah Namyslo, “The Journey to the Land of the Königsflügler” will soon be published in Germany and I am honored to have my artwork on the front cover! Together we brought her characters to life in paint and I’m pretty excited to see the final product. Thanks, Sarah, for inviting me to take part in this amazing project. I can’t wait to get my copy of the book !! It has been a pleasure working with you, and I wish you, Bran, and Katthan so much success! 🙂
