Wearing nothing but a smile…and such a smile! Bliss is joy, supreme happiness, the feeling of being in heaven or paradise. We all want it; we strive for it. It is usually the ultimate goal. Being “blissed out” is generally a wonderful thing!

The title for this piece was simple. The song “Set Adrift on Memory Bliss” was playing on my ipod while I was beginning to paint this scene, and it quickly became the theme for this painting. I began referring to her as “Bliss”. It is not only her frame of mind, but obviously her name as well.
