When our son was a bit older, had outgrown his dinosaur phase, and had discovered the fascination of wizards and dragons; he designed a mural for his bedroom wall. He drew a flying dragon, crystal topped mountain spire, and battling wizard for me to bring to life with my paintbrush. He was at my elbow every step of the way, freely offering advice.

Years later, when he left for college and his little sister inherited his room, his one request was the mural not be painted over. It still remains today…all of us fondly sentimental about the fun we had creating it.
