“The Catbird Seat” Original Painting (12″ x 12″)

$245.00

** (Also available as a print)

Definitely a play on words and creatures!

An old expression that can sometimes still be heard describing Nascar drivers or  baseball players (like a batter with three balls and no strikes on him).

“The catbird seat” is an American English idiomatic phrase used to describe an enviable position, often in terms of having the upper hand or greater advantage.

“I get you. If we swing it, we’ll be sitting pretty, ‘In the catbird seat.’”

(from P.G. Wodehouse’s  1958 novel “Cocktail Time”)

12″ x 12″ acrylic on stretched canvas. All edges are painted, so no framing is necessary. Painting is signed both front and back by me. Hanging wire attached.

I will do my very best to see that the painting arrives safely at your doorstep. It will be kissed good bye, lovingly wrapped, and securely packed by me, personally. (My paintings are like kittens or puppies, and I do like to see them off to good homes!) 🙂 It will ship USPS with insurance.

Shipping is free in the continental United States. Please contact me for overseas orders and I will be happy to make shipping arrangements with you.

Your purchase is for the painting alone. I retain the copyright and all rights of reproduction.
